Best Foot Forward is a pioneering company in the world of footprinting, with a genuine commitment to sustainability. 

We've been leading developments in carbon footprinting methodology for over ten years. We completed some of the first PAS 2050 pilot studies which helped develop an agreed method for measuring greenhouse gas emissions from goods and services. Recently we have worked on accounting protocols with the World Resources Institute and the World Business Council for Sustainable Development.

We are world leaders in ecological footprinting, having used the methodology since 1997. Best Foot Forward is a founding and active member of the Global Footprint Network, and we have worked with the European Commission to encourage states to adopt the ecological footprint indicator. We were awarded the Environment Product/Service Award at the Environment and Energy Awards for our Product Portfolio Footprinting service, which helps multinational corporations to tackle their supply chain footprint.

Our directors Nicky Chambers and Craig Simmons have written a number of books which have become coffee table classics for sustainability professionals, including 'Sharing Nature's Interest', the core textbook on ecological footprinting, 'The Green Guide for Business' and 'The ZED Book'.
