Zaour is the founder and director of 3 Carbon Elements and a believer in social entrepreneurship and sustainable development.

Zaour’s experience is in carbon footprinting, developing  carbon management  tools  and business  compliance  with  climate  change  regulations. He has successfully helped many organisations to manage their carbon emissions: Adnams PLC, NHS Norfolk, Oxfordshire County Council, Raytheon and the British Concrete Association, amongst others.

Zaour has experience and knowledge of: the Carbon Reduction Commitment Energy Efficiency Scheme (CRCEE); PAS 2050 and Product Accounting and Reporting Standard (product life cycle assessment); ISO14064 and Green House Gas (GHG) Corporate Protocol Standard (corporate footprinting); GHG Protocol Scope 3 Standard; PAS 2060 (the first standard for carbon neutrality); event carbon footprinting; and Kyoto Protocol mechanisms including the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM), Joint Implementation (JI) and Program of Activities (PoA).

Zaour is the founder of a unique online carbon management library and the author of a white paper on the carbon neutrality standard BSI PAS2060. He has previously written a business column on carbon management for a leading regional newspaper.

He holds an MBA in Strategic Carbon Management (University of  East Anglia) and a Diploma in Management Consultancy (Chartered Management Institute).
