Max Tam

Analyst

Max joined Best Foot Forward as an analyst in 2011. Max comes from Hong Kong and holds a BSc in Marine Biology with Oceanography from the University of Southampton. He is passionate about helping companies improve their competitive positions by integrating long term, sustainable thinking into the core of their business strategies.

Having previously worked as an analyst in a startup sustainability consulting company based in London, Max has practical experience in providing a range of corporate services. Max has delivered footprinting and environmental assessment and reporting projects for a number of multinational companies, including Compass Group, McBride plc and Logitech. Such experience gave Max an in-depth understanding of the drivers and processes behind corporate sustainability practices. Max was responsible for designing the user interface of the company’s corporate sustainability management system. He also authored a research report on the development and economic viability of aviation biofuel.

Max has brought a unique combination of design creativity and analytical capability to Best Foot Forward. Since joining the company, Max has shown exceptional vision and skill in design and visual communication. He has helped facilitate Best Foot Forward’s rebranding exercise and was responsible for designing the new website of Footprint Reporter. Max has designed marketing and communication materials for several key clients and has also created a number of infographics, using his knowledge of both data and design.

Max loves music and he plays the drums. He is a big fan of Japanese singer Shiina Ringo and her band Tokyo Incidents. His favorite drummers are Jojo Mayor and Jon Theodore (ex-The Mars Volta).
