Description

The Greensways management game helps individuals unfamiliar with environmental issues develop a feel for cost benefits.

As manager of Greenways, a small service-based business, you decide on your 20-year transport, energy and waste strategy and see the effect in terms of your environmental impact and cost over the medium and long term. Three preset strategies are provided 'business as usual', 'evolutionary' and 'revolutionary' which illustrate the range of possible futures.

The game can be tailored by changing current and future energy, waste and transport-related costs. You can also view and change raw consumption data and/or select default sectoral data.

Interactively explore different future scenarios by manipulating six key policy 'levers' and 12 cost variables.

A simple walk-up-and-use interface, the basic game can be played with a minimum of instruction.

Technical Details

The Greenways Game is delivered as an Excel spreadsheet. It is compatible with Microsoft Excel 95 and above.

The spreadsheet size is 1MB.
